James Miller served as Ohio State Director of Adult Education from 1967 to 1982. He was Legislative Chairman of the National Association for Public Continuing and Adult Education (NAPCAE) for four years and served as NAPCAE President in 1981-1982.
He received special recognition for his efforts from the State Directors of Adult Education, the Ohio Association of Adult Education, and the U.S. Department of Education. He was a greatly respected and highly influential leader in expanding adult education programming and funding in Ohio.
