Hall of Fame Class of 1996

For the past 30 years, Grover Andrews has been dedicated to teaching, research, and practice in the field of adult education and accreditation. He served on the graduate faculty in adult and community college education at North Carolina State University from 1979 through 1989 and was Adjunct Professor of Adult Education at The University of Georgia from 1989 through 1996. 

As Associate Director of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, he directed the research project that produced the first comprehensive accreditation standard for continuing education programs within colleges and universities. He also conducted research and developed guidelines for the use of the Continuing Education Unit.

In addition, he served as Director of Continuing Education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, served on the boards of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning and the American Technical Institute, and was President of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training.

His many honors include being selected for the Julius Nolte Award given by the National University Continuing Education Association (1995) and being elected to Who's Who in American Education (1992), Who's Who in the South and Southwest (1993), and Who's Who in America (1996).
